What measurements are needed for a T-shirt?
1. HPS Length
HPS Length is an important measurement because it allows production to determine the length of your T-shirt. To take this measurement, you need to measure from the highest point on the shoulder to the bottom of your T-shirt.
2. Shoulder Width
As shown in the picture below, to determine shoulder width, you need to measure the distance from the left shoulder seam to the right.

3. Chest Half Width
To determine the chest width, measure the width of the T-shirt at armpit level as shown below.
4. Waist Half Width
The waist half width measures the width of your T-shirt at the waist. Particularly, sports T-shirts are often tighter at the waist but wider at the chest and hips. However, if your T-shirt has a boxy fit, the waist half width is the same as the chest half width. In the image below, you can see that the waist half width is located between the chest half width and the bottom of the T-shirt.
5. Bottom Half Width
The bottom half width is probably the easiest measurement, as you only need to measure the width of your T-shirt at the bottom.
6. Sleeve Length
As the term suggests, sleeve length determines the length of the sleeves.
7. Sleeve Opening Width
This measurement is used to determine the width of the sleeves on the side where they are attached.
8. Shoulder Length
To measure the shoulder length of your garment, measure the distance from the collar of the T-shirt to the shoulder seam. Be sure not to include the collar.
9. Armhole Width
The armhole width refers to the width of the sleeve hole in your garment.
10. Front Neckline Drop
The depth of the front neckline of a T-shirt.
11. Back Neckline Drop
In contrast to the Front Neckline drop, the Back Neckline drop refers to the depth of the back neckline of your T-shirt.
12. Collar Width
This measurement determines the width of the collar.
